These are EXCELLENT drain stoppers, and I'm using them in the kitchen at first I put the narrow end, with the suction cup, facing the back of the sink - and it leaked. Then I put it the other way, with the suction cup facing the back of the sink. Same rwesult - would hold water. Then I looked at the PACKAGING - and it showed the narrow end faceing SIDEWAYS - and now it works PERFECTLY. So there you go - using it the right way makes it work the right way - who would have guessed! :-D

Just moved into a new home and the laundry tub had no stopper. The kitchen sink has a disposal that comes with a large stopper that takes up counter space and was leaving a stain on my granite counter top. I saw this product and thought it would solve my problems, and it did. It holds water well and I love that when not in place over the drain, I can use the built in suction cup to stick it to the side of the sink, out of the way, but readily available.
